In the works of Marjan Fahimi subjects are mostly characterized by landscapes,
views that highlight the main atmospheric phenomena: air, wind, clouds, rain, water, electricity. It’s a research about the naturalistic component of the landscape and its poetry; whatever makes it spectacular to the eyes of the observers. Following a figurative approach until now in her recent works she is trying to get closer to the essence of this research using a more abstract approach and concentrating her attention on the main elements that characterize the landscape poetry such as games of contrast between light and shadow, colours and textures, creating atmospheres that invoke visions of nature in our subconscious.
Marjan Fahimi is an Iranian painter based in Rome since 2004. Born in Tehran in 1982, she begins to take painting and drawing lessons at the age of 15.
In 2004, after earning a degree in Italian Language and Literature at the University of Tehran, she moves to Rome and begins her studies in Architecture, concluding her training in 2013 with a Master degree in Architecture and Urban Design.
