Bees on the walls to make people aware of Colony Collapse Disorder
Save the Bees mural project is what inspired street artist Louis Masai Michel on his one-man mission to paint bees on street walls to raise awareness of the plight of the humble honey bee. He started this public awareness mission when he learnt about bees and the grave implications of colony collapse disorder. His endeavor proved wildly popular and has since spread to Bristol, Devon, Glastonbury, Croatia, New York, Miami, and New Orleans.
You can see more of his bee work in this gallery.
