“….a deaf student aiming to get her dream job, showing anyone that a dream can come true if you really work for it” – Aishah Jan
This garment was inspired by Coventry Council house spire and wrapping papers. From this inspiration, I developed and created a final outcome. I used black organza for the whole garment. To create the cones on the bodice, I used the laser cutter to cut over 100 pieces of circle of black organza.
I also did the hair and make up by myself to best accentuate the garment. For the photoshoot inspiration, I wanted a gloomy, but powerful image which can make the garment look strong. I also co operate with the model to get the right pose to best accentuate the garment.
This image was taken by myself. In my everyday life, I always take photos and keep it as an inspiration. I enjoy photography, because I can express feeling through my photography. Not only photography, but also through my art work.
“People will use you or even used you for their own. But they won’t help you as much as you did. They will think you did nothing compared to others. If they compare you, then they mean nothing to you. Ignore them and you’ll see how much it change your life for good. If you just focus on your work, you will reach your goal someday. Leave the one who doesn’t support you and keep the one who does support you”.
