Animals have always been a subject that I loved painting and drawing, because of the amazing plurality of materials we can find on them, skin, fur, scales…
I never draw a shape nor a sketch and then fill it in, I actually start with the material, and then build the image little by little…. That’s how my animals end up meeting and melting together, among also different anatomy drawings, wich I always thought were amazing too, quite for the same reasons.
Except this, there’s nothing really special to tell about my drawings, they don’t really mean anything, I just enjoy the kind of meditation it is to draw such litlle and repetitive details, and to finally discover the finality of it.
I’m 27 years old, living in Switzerland, studied two years in the ECAV (Ecole Cantonale d’Art du Valais, Sierre, Switzerland), one year graphic design, then changed to one year in an art class to get access to the Bachelor. Then I did one year at the HEAD (Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design, Geneva, Switzerland) in Bachelor of Arts. Never finished none of my studies in art, people talk to much, don’t act enough. Didn’t like it.
