Antennary – (Youthful & Playful Properties)
This playful and colorful sculpture is named for its antennae like brass rods and stands 71” high by 32” wide. Brass has a grounding energy and can block negativity. This sculpture was made with the intent to function like a transducer which converts energy from one form to another. Antennary emits positivity and keeps its environment jovial and pleasant.
The Beacon – GFRC Concrete Sculpture
This sculpture is a recreation of an object I saw while in Big Bend National Park. On an off road motorcycle trip I camped at a primitive campsite, with no one around. I took a few shots of the desert before settling in for the night. After going to sleep I realized I was having a lucid dream, in which I chose to travel through a space portal, which led me into an extraterrestrial landscape. In this blue hued landscape I saw an enormous beacon that pulsed rainbow colored light. Upon waking I felt like something was outside my tent, but didn’t investigate until daylight. As I unzipped my tent that morning I saw several mountain lion tracks that circled me as I slept. I took some pictures of the tracks, and decided I would recreate the structure I saw in my dream.
The Sentinel – (The Protector)
Standing watch over all who are near, The Sentinel honors its vow to protect and guard. Standing 7 feet tall and 42 inches wide made entirely of concrete with embedded LED lights, stainless steel, and glass. The idea for this sculpture came from my childhood desire to have a futuristic protector to keep me safe during my imaginative adventures. The armor-like texture resembles a shield and the light scans for danger.
