Guerilla Sculptures from streets of Istanbul/Kadıkoy by İskender Giray

A street project that started off with the aim of raising awareness for a cut tree, one that passers by never noticed Kadikoy – Istanbul.

After remaining in its initial position for about a year, the tree was cut down but this led to a new tree being planted at the same spot. While “Requiem of a Tree” looks for a new home, a young linden tree stands in its place and, celebrating new life, the sculpture titled Rejoice for a Tree.
