Hallazgos is the spanish for ‘findings’, but I think that the best concept that describes it could be “Discoveries”. Something found with a great value.
It is a large stage in a rhizomatic process of an artistic production and introspection. My main interest is the deeper research that can achieve my psyche in its dichotomy between the mental contents I own and the ones I obtained. And the drawing has become the tool that reveals the dual structure of my personality.
The beetle is the ‘organized manner’, acquired when being part of a society, a recognizable shape, with a symbolic appreciation for its history, natural beauty and symmetry. On the other hand, the randomly forms that shaped that beetle, reveal the hidden contents in my psyche, like the vegetation growing in between the cracks of the pavement, disorganized demonstrations that lets the spirit speaks.
Every time I face the paper, I abstain from look references, are only mental constructs that remain in my memory, which they manifest. Drawing for me is a conversation, it is not the execution of an idea but a dialogue between consciousness and the unknown contents of my mind, it is a maieutic exercise, where the drawing makes the questions and my aesthetic instinct responds.
