The Inner Map by Edna Romero

Self-taught and experimenting since she was 13 years Edna works with digital photography as a basis and later manipulated with traditional techniques such as acrylic and oil painting.

She works with random topics around human beings, emotional world and their interaction with the beholder. seeing through feelings and associations as the purest universal language which are basically the strongest argument of her work.

Edna Romero. Mexico, 1988. Is an independent artist, her work merges digital and traditional media. Her first solo exhibition has been shown at Jaime Sabines Cultural Centre in Tuxtla Gtz., Chiapas., and she has participated in several group exhibitions in Mexico, including Chiapas, Tabasco, State of Mexico and Distrito Federal (Federal District).

Edna’s work has been published in “RioGrande Review” (printed), distributed all over Latin America.

Her expertise also includes photography and art workshops. Edna has collaborated with “Proyecto Concentrarte” an Art-Therapy Foundation, documenting a whole season of work and performing sessions of environmental awareness/conservation for children.
