A stunning sample of my portrait work which captures emotion and life in these two boys – private commission
Jenny Mallon is a South African living in Johannesburg and is a qualified Graphic Designer turned ARTIST and ART TEACHER.
Jenny loved using Acrylic as her medium, enjoying its versatility and the fast drying quality of the paint. She only used to paint fruit and flowers in previous years, selling most of her works through galleries. She has had the opportunity to work on a variety of diverse and interesting projects over time, undertaking many private commissions, freelancing for paint studios, doing wall murals both large and small and generally developing the level of skill she has today.
She made the decision to return to drawing for which she has an immense passion and she strives to capture the essence of her subjects with her expert use of charcoal. She favours interesting African subjects, PORTRAITURE being a specialty. She endeavors to capture character through attention to detail, emotion and expression, which is reflected in the eyes of her subjects. Jenny creates different ranges of simple, but detailed black & white charcoal drawings which fall under THE JENNY MALLON COLLECTION.
Jenny has had her work exhibited in prominent galleries over the years, and has sold many works to a long list of very happy clients. She welcomes PRIVATE COMMISSIONS and with the vast amount of experience behind her, feels confident to undertake all commissions and meet client’s specific requirements.
Jenny presently works full time from her home where she teaches ART CLASSES and continues to create her ranges of dynamic charcoal drawings and paintings.
