Land art

Maithilee Zaveri

Another name for Land art is Earth art which involves physical landscapes to create a form of art, taking the original form of art out of the museums/art galleries and into the outside world where, the use of natural resources are obtained from the earth. It is designed to evolve, change, and eventually decay.

It is a very unique form of art which excites and fascinates me deeply and exploring other fields in contemporary and visual art which is equally fun and challenging. It takes one away from the regular style of painting and using colors from our normal palette of paints by making earth its huge canvas as it translates nature through the filtration of my interest, values, imaginations and desires while experimenting new forms of art materials such as natural pigmentation from clay powder mixed with water to create white and charcoal powder to create black (making the actual artworks rather than just experimenting and making patterns on the land).
