Alessandro Carnevale “paints” with industrial blowtorch, using the carbon monoxide just like a stencil on the metallic surfaces of his works.
Combustions are fixed on the iron “canvas” through industrial glues mixed with chemical mixtures of bicarbonate, which avoids that oxidations erase the draw. Carnevale describes the descarding process of industrial world, talking about factory’s dacay. These hide urban spaces relive into arts: the same materials which compose these buildings are employed as artistic sufraces, creating a poetic “circle” in order to give a new spark of life to this lost world. Iron, steel, aluminum, zinc are the materials which evoke heavy industrial process.
