‘Look and sketch by eye’ – the Amazing Artwork by Sara Mormone
Hailing from Bedfordshire, the 38 years old British born, Sara Elisa Mormone is an amazing pencil sketch artist, oil painter and singer. She masters the art of portraiture with her vivid and painstakingly detailed pencil work (her favorite and prime medium).
What makes her work truly unique is her lack of formal arts education or training. Starting early as a child artist taking commissions, she was already a renowned commission artist by 2008
She has over 100 commissions to date from home to celebrity. Her realistic sketches and oil paints exude an aura of immense detail with her ‘look and sketch by eye’ method in pencil, graphite, oil, acrylic and digital art. She paints by visions. Sara says:
“I blend together realism and imagination, whether it is in drawing people or painting medleys of contemporary shapes and colors. It’s rare that work is planned in advance I let it happen through a vision or a thought. Closing my eyes these thoughts are gathered, the performance evolves and is manifested on canvas. I paint what I see. My paintings look to the future and using digital art as a medium to express that feels very natural. Simultaneously, I like to blend this with classic oil paint producing a unique feel and texture to my work”.
Sara is an independent artist and works from her home studio.
Sara is an enthusiastic soprano singer and part of the Bazil Meade Gospel Academy founded in 2013. BMGMA, Chairman and founder Bazil Meade LCGC
