A series “Arkaim” has been created in 2001-2002 after travelling in summer of 2001 in Arkaim historical – archeological reserve. The paintings included in the series of “Arkaim” are devoted to the ancient settlement which has been found out in Southern Urals Mountains in 1987. The series is sustained in decorative style, emphasizing a subtlety of distinction between a legend and a science on which researchers of Arkaim are all balancing. Each versions of creation and existence of city-riddle can appear truthful or erroneous.
On June 23, 1987, Arkaim was discovered at South Ural. Town, observatory, temple, center of education and culture… The list is open, as is open for researchers the Arkaim itself. I personally spent only two happy days at Arkaim in 2001 and and I am sure that main wonderful findings of Arkaim still are in the future. It was proven that there was not only the fireplace at the central square of the Arkaim, but also all the town was illuminated with lamps placed on the walls. This is my guess of the Arkaim image from bird’s eye view in the prosperous times.
Arkaim is located in the bowl-shaped valley surrounded with hills where even today you could find distant visors which were observed from Arkaim. This precisely shows that the town was used as an observatory.
How the wisemen of Arkaim used obtained astronomical data? Did they just calculated proper time for seeding or waited for favorable location of stars for some unknown sacred missions?
The painting depicts view to the Arkaim valley from the hill which is now called the Love mountain, to the left is the so called Shaman’s hill.
During our journey to Arkaim, together with Valeriy and Elena Anufriev (from Ural branch of the International League for Protection of Culture) we have many times checked energy of our auras with Kirlian methodic. Regardless of the initial state of aura (measured before departure from Yekaterinburg) and despite tiresome journey, on arrival to the valley and after short walk around, everybody’s auras become more powerful and straight. And even more interesting is the fact that all of them became very similar, the shine of head and heart was more powerful.
It was possible that there was some magnet in the valley causing those changes. And more likely the ancient town itself was the center normalizing the energetic.
“The star of the country of heavenly lights” is the Pole Star, the main nightly guide for travellers of all times. In Arkaim – the observatory – they probably monitored this most important astronomic object.
Currently the hill depicted on this painting is called by folks “The hill of Mind”. It is strange as on the old maps it is called “Lighthouse hill”. Where are here the lighthouses from? On the top of the hill we found the sign which you could see on the painting, and pretty old stones in the center were evidently wear traces of firework. One beam spread from the center was directed at Arkaim, the other two were directed at other towns of the “Country of towns” which were at certain distance. What for there was a lighthouse and how they used it?
Even such exotic way as shown at the painting is more or less the imagination of simple person. But who were the builders of Arkaim?
It is proven that the inhabitants of the city burned it before leaving. This ceremony is peculiar to sun- and fire-worshipers. And once again Arkaim let us think whether everything was so simple as it seems?
The painting depicts my own version of the Arkaim history.
