I have always loved alternative photographic processes, especially historic processes like the tin type. Although not a true tin type in the historical sense, through digital manipulation I try to make my photographs look and “feel” like a tin type. The photographs are printed on etching paper which gives a matte finish and a richness to the colors that I find adds to the authentic look of the tin type. Most of these photographs are of people (mostly my daughter), as this process allows for beautiful and striking portraits which accentuate the eyes. This allows the viewer a look into that person’s soul.
