Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, sandy drifts swell and surge in a massive mural by the Canadian architecture firm NÓS.
Moving dunes
Dunes [é] moving is a work inspired by the primitive arts. It is an extension of the main exhibition of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), presented in the summer of 2018, “From Africa to the Americas: Picasso face-to-face, from yesterday to today “. By the presence of dunes, ground patterns distorted by anamorphosis, the avenue du Musée acquires an expressive dimension. Walking along the avenue, we discover spheres that reflect the various pavilions of the MMFA, all unique in their architecture and their history, thus interweaving real and virtual. Dunes [é] movantes is an experiential mirage in the heart of downtown Montreal.
