Nadadora / Swimmer.
Swimmer, oil on canvas, 80cm x 59cm. This artwork is part of a series of paintings showing contemporary life, including urban and nature scenes. A research that has taken years observing a variety of focuses, transparencies, reflections and colors that take place in our surroundings.
This “woman-swimmer” shows us how water interacts with skin and light. Many tones and shades of colors, along with bokeh, take effect to complete the illusion of reality. The brushes are clear, but they disappear within the context.
It is the contour of life made out of instants. Taking a pause to observe what is around us may reveal visual wonders.
