Interesting is going extinct. Cookie-cutter designs are everywhere. It is time to obliterate typical. And there is nothing more typical than mass produced light fixtures.
Mark Bell, works alongside his wife Vanessa at Omega Lighting & Design in Berkeley, making custom light fixtures. Most are created from found vinatage items that are ‘reinvetend’ and brought back to life as something new.
This fixture, “the Bomb” illustrates our of point of view quite well. Why manufacture something that looks just like everything else? Bleck.
