Photographer Alan McFadyen takes perfect picture of diving kingfisher

Took him six years and 4,200 hours to get perfect picture of diving kingfisher

I spent my entire childhood exploring the surrounding countryside and learning my trade. I am the first to admit my knowledge of cameras is pretty basic, but I do pride myself on my ability to get my chosen subjects where I want them. I am one of these people who do not like failure and once I set my mind on something I give my all to achieve the target. My biggest pet hate in this business today is people with very little knowledge of wildlife or how to set up for it charging a small fortune for their services. They seem to be popping up all over the place now and that is why I have put a lot of time and effort into trying to offer good photographic opportunities at reasonable prices. I just felt it was time these frauds were given some competition and a fairer deal was available for wildlife photographers.
