Seaweed Farms – The fascinating Satellite imagery
These images taken by NASA in Januray 2014, depict a tiny patchwork of squares which in reality are seaweed fields around Sisan Islands, South Korea.
From 1970, an 8% increase has been seen in seaweed production and about 90% of consumable seaweed is farmed. Comparatively, it has no adverse effects considering it does not impose drastic changes on the immediate environment.
