STONES by Hersley Casero

The Stone series are meticulous drawings that bring out individual characters of each semi-precious stone. Using only a soft, 7B graphite pencil, Casero achieves multi-gradient portraits on paper.

The background figures, depicted faceless, are supporting actors to the stone as the main character, emphasizing the value in each stone; for the stones have been here on the planet long before humanity. This awareness is humbling, and through this detailed drawing process, Casero takes the time to respect and honor each stone as we should respect and honor ourselves.
