I enjoy exploring the natural world through my art. My practice being realistic drawing of wild life from both my home in Australia and abroad. Dogs and birds are my favorite animals making my home a paradise, full of laughing kukaburras and diverse bird life. My drawing of a Grey Wolf and its friends the Tree Swallows represents, for me, the complex web of the food chains and the ecosystems harboring them. This drawing allows myself to share some of the wonder and magic created everyday by the natural world, weather it be harsh, beautiful, or somewhere in between. In the artwork it feels as though the two species are communicating, through a gaze or a movement they seem to be in sync, despite the biological barriers between them. Perhaps something could be learned from their relationship.
