I picked up painting at the local art studio and found my true calling creating whimsical fantasy pieces
A few years ago, having moved back to my hometown for a new job placement, I felt out of sorts in my new-old environs and decided to find something relaxing to do as a hobby. I had spent over 10 years in the corporate world, slaving away long hours at the office. So this new job placement came as a welcome break from the fast-paced corporate world I was used to, although my mind & body took longer to adjust to the slower pace of life.
I picked up painting at the local art studio and found my true calling creating whimsical fantasy pieces, realistic still life of objects I collect or found, abstract creations and landscape vistas. I had exhibited my artworks in joint art shows locally (Malaysia) and also abroad.
Many people wished my large canvases can be reduced in size and priced more affordably. So to make my artworks more readily available to more people, I opened an online shop at Etsy (www.etsy.com/shop/HeartArtByElaine), selling prints of my works in smaller, limited quantities.
