Pat Hall was born in Kent, England in 1963. She completed her Honours Degree in Graphic Design at Brighton University in 1985 before working as a designer in London.
After immigrating to Australia in 1991 she furthered her career by working as an illustrator for many years at Sheldrake Creative and now paints from her home studio in Mitchelton.
Pat is a keen gardener and her paintings are inspired by the textures, colours and dazzling sunlight of Australian gardens and bushland. She has won nine prizes at The Royal Queensland Show (including 5 first prizes) and three at The Brookfield Show (including 1 first prize and 1‘Best in Show’). Pat also won ‘Highly Commended’ at The Rotary Art Spectacular 2015. She has had four solo exhibitions; the most recent Fleeting Fluidity in 2014. Pat exhibits at Lethbridge Gallery, Brisbane and at Gallery Beneath in Mooloolaba, Queensland.
Pat predominantly works in watercolour onto large, stretched sheets of Arches paper which are stretched over a frame and finally sealed in a clear coating which protects against UV and water damage.
